(30)  A Miss Marple mystery

I started reading this Amazon freebie on my phone one night when I was bored months ago. It’s terribly British and a bit of a slow starter. Well, slow all the way through, really. I can’t say I like Miss Marple, I thought her rather pompous and too much of a folksy know-it-all. But the murder… the murder was Brilliant!  I genuinely had no clue who did it and didn’t see the twists in the last 15% of the book coming. Rare, that, as many mysteries as I read.

I believe I shall have to get over my dislike of the writing style and read more of Dame Christie’s work — the plot is just too good not to!
