Dy's Take

Through Stone and Sea by Barb & J.C. Hendee

(18) a Noble Dead novel (Journeyor Wynn #2)

This was overlong. All the action happens in the last quarter of the book and while I know authors are told constantly to show not tell, the expository first 3/4 of this book would have benefited from a little more telling and a lot less showing.

Fortunately the ending was sufficiently intriguing that I’ve already started the next one. Which is also starting off painfully slow.  This series is okay, but I’d much rather read about Magiere and Leesil — Wynn is mousy and Chane is angsty and I kinda want to smack them both.
