The Dresden Files: Welcome to the Jungle by Jim Butcher

This has been on my wishlist forever, so I was thrilled when my dad got it for me for Christmas.  Of course, he didn’t know it was on my wishlist, but he’s who nurtured my affection for the weird, the creepy, the paranormal (in fiction at least) and he thought of it all by himself.  Go Dad!

I like that this was a new story. I’m prepared to be very sad when there are no more Dresden novels, but I’m not quite ready for the end. This was a great stopgap. A bit gross, art-wise, but splashier, less gritty, more comic, if that makes any sense, and therefore more palatable.

(I knocked off a quarter point because the artist kept screwing up the height perspective tween Dresden and Murphy — he is supposed to be 18 inches taller than her…)
