Dy's Take

Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins

(81) Hunger Games, book 3

This was dense, really dense.  I understand why everything in this book was included in a single volume, but I would almost have rather had the first half, pre-disillusionment, included in book 2 and allowing book 3 to really home in on the betrayal and ugly truths aspect of the story.

****SPOILER ALERT — read the rest of the review at your own peril****

And, after all she’d been through I would have liked a little more detail on Kat’s post-war life than what we got in the epilogue. She deserved it and after 3 books full of man’s inhumanity to man I kind of thought I did too, as a reader.
