The Swan Maiden by Jules Watson

I ~loved~ Watson’s “The White Mare” and enjoyed this one, too. I didn’t enjoy it as much—there was a little too much guilt , introspection and self-loathing for my taste, but it was a good story, well-told*, and one I was not familiar with.

*Okay, well told til the action finally ratchets up at the end. The timeline and perspectives were so all over the place at the book’s climax that I had a hard time keeping up without reading parts more than once.  It was well done, but for something with that much action a clearer presentation would have been nice.
