A Hannah Swensen Mystery
Better recipes than the last one, and a more personally engaging plot. It was hard to feel too involved in the book before this one in the series because so many characters in it were out-of-towners in tiny Lake Eden.

A refreshing return to better balance between plot and sex in the Meredith Gentry series.
FTR, by better I mean more plot to balance out all the sex. Though, truthfully, compared to the last few entries in this series the sex in A Lick of Frost was rather pedestrian. It was a refreshing, and welcome, change.

I wanted to like this character, but I just couldn’t. She was just too damn clean. I am a crummy housekeeper and Super Mom just made me feel completely inadequate. Wench. Other than that it was a little slow and, well, kind of dull. I know Hauser wanted a heroine moms could relate to, but I think she is just a hair too close to real life to be interesting… I read to escape, not to be reminded of what I am supposed to be doing…
